Classic wedding ideas you’ll still be swooning over 20 years from now

News
Here at JMFS, we’ve seen lots of wedding trends come and a few wedding trends go. While we pride ourselves on staying up-to-date with the very latest inspo (it’s one of the many things we love about our job!), we often find ourselves veering back to something truly timeless. The ‘bright’, the ‘boho,’ the ‘rustic’ and the ‘glamourous’ are undeniably gorgeous in their own right and are always so much fun to experiment with, but the ‘classic’ is forever. It will never go out of style.

In March, we had the pleasure of doing the florals and styling for Danielle & Nic’s special day at Wallalong House. It had EVERYTHING that classic wedding dreams are made of — a soft, refined colour palette, loads of lush greenery, minimalist linens and paired-back decor. It was delicate, romantic and effortlessly chic.

Simple signage featuring clean, geometric lines and creamy nudes. We especially love our handmade by JMFS table numbers for this.

An abundance of white flowers.
Traditional and elegant. Need we say more?

Contemporary timber furnishings.
Long statement dining tables really elevate a space and gently complement neutral colour schemes.

Plenty of greenery.
A stunning contrast to crisp, clean whites.

Linen and more linen!
We’re a little obsessed with our latte-hued table runners. Pure white is beautiful as well.

Romantic lighting to set to the mood.
Think – outdoor lanterns, lots of candles and twinkly, warm-toned lights strewn above a large, sheer white marquee.

A big congratulations to Danielle & Nic! Thank you for inspiring this journal entry too x
